Encephalitis:- Three cases were due to an unknown virus and a
further three cases developed as complications of measles,
chicken-pox and vaccinia respectively.
A patient, who had been a typhoid carrier for about 20 years,
would seem to have been cured by cholecystectomy.
The one diphtheria case belonged to a small out-break in a
neighbouring Borough. It was a mild case though the patient had
transient ocular paralysis.
