ENURETIC CLINIC
The Enuretic Clinic started on 3.1.55. Only small numbers
were seen in the first few sessions, but the numbers soon increased
and by the end of the year 73 children had been seen and
treated. The treatment is simple but takes about 4-6 months,
and necessitates the regular attendance once a month of the child
with the parent or guardian.
As a fair proportion of Enuretic cases come from broken or
"Problem" families, it has not been easy to get regular attendance,
and out of the 73 children, 12 have been discharged because
they have attended very seldom and irregularly. 4 cases were
found to require psychological treatment and were referred to
the Child Guidance Clinic. 3 left the district, 24 were completely
cured. The remaining 30 are still under treatment, but of this
number 18 only started attending in November and are, therefore,
only half-way through the estimated course of treatment.
