For the past 5 years the number of infant deaths has been
1950 - 96, 1951 - 68, 1952 - 69, 1953 - 72 and 1954 - 69.
Among the 69 deaths, 35 occurred in boy babies and 34 in
girls. Of the births, 1,812 were males and 1,756 females. The
infantile mortality rate for the two sexes was, therefore, Boys19,
Girls-19.
57 deaths of infants occurred in Institutions, including
Registered Nursing Homes.
