The Council's extension of Maintenance Allowances
scheme continued during 194u. These allowances are granted
be patients suffering from Pulmonary Tuberculosis who are not
entitled to allowances under the Government scheme but who •
carry out treatment recommended under the Council's Tuberculosis
scheme : —
(1) No. of patients in receipt of

24 on Domiciliary treatment.

CHEAM SANATORIUM.
The Sanatorium is situated at North Cheam and normally
lias accommodation for 93 adult patients of both sexes : men 53
