The Council's extension of Maintenance Allowances
scheme continued during 194u. These allowances are granted
be patients suffering from Pulmonary Tuberculosis who are not
entitled to allowances under the Government scheme but who •
carry out treatment recommended under the Council's Tuberculosis
scheme : —
