(N.B.—Milk and Malt and Oil are given on the recommendation
of the School Medical Officer and are supplied free of
cost.)
All the milk supplied is pasteurised milk and the sources of
supply are subject to the approval of, and constant supervision
of the Medical Officer of Health.
There has been a large increase in the amount of Malt find
Oil ordered. This again is partly accounted for by the return of
evacuated children. It is also due to anxiety on the part of the
medical officers to safeguard the children's health under existing
dietary restrictions.
