Medical Inspection in Schools.
A total of 7,814 children were examined as compared with
4,303 in 1944, and 5,064 parents attended the examinations. The
percentage attendance of parents in the Entrants' group was for
boys 85.3 per cent.; and girls 85.6 per cent.; in the Intermediate
group, boys 63.8 per cent., girls 75.5 per cent.; and in the
Leavers' group, boys 35.3 per cent., girls 46.1 per cent.
The total percentage of parents attending was 64.8 as against
65.7 last year.
920 specials and re-inspections were made.
