1002.Milk15 per cent. deficient in milk fat.Sampling Officer who took "Appeal to Cow" samples following these unsatisfactory results, was of the opinion that the fat deficiency was due to lack of efficient mixing prior to decanting. Producer warned.
1016.Milk4 per cent. deficient in milk solids other than milk fat.
1010.Milk1 per cent. added water.Vendor communicated with and unable to account for result. Repeat sample satisfactory.
1725.Milk2 per cent. added water.Vendor communicated with and repeat sample was satisfactory.
2136SausagesDeficient in meat content.Prosecution — Firm fined 20s. and £3 3s. costs.
1739.Meat SoupDeficient in meat content and protein.Stock appeared to have been manufactured before the Meat Products (Canned Soup and Canned Meat) — Control and Maximum Prices— Order, 1944, came into force.
1741.Vinegar, maltContained added salt.Apparently, the Ministry of Food acquiesle in the addition of this salt.

515.Milk1 per cent. deficient in milk solids other than milk fat— Hortvet test consistent with but does not necessarily indicate a small percentage of added water.Vendors lommunicated with and further samples taken, which proved satisfactory.
1800.Mixture, Cake and Pudding .Partly decomposed, contained large numbers of dead flour mites.Informal sample taken at request of vendor — balance of stock at once withdrawn from sale.
