V.
The other work of the Sanitary Inspector's Department
continued as during the previous year, but perforce on a restricted
scale, as 8 Inspectors had left for H.M. Forces.
In conclusion, ladies and gentlemen, I wish to express my
indebtedness to the professional, nursing and clerical staffs of
my department for the conscientious manner in which they have
carried out their duties during the year. Also my thanks are
due to the members of the Committee for their help and encouragement
throughout a particularly difficult period.
I am,
Yours faithfully,
OSCAR M. HOLDEN,
Medical Officer of Health.
