The following articles were disinfected at the disinfecting
station during the year:-

Disinfection after infectious or contagious diseases was carried out in:
942 rooms at 733 houses 49 sir raid shelters
159 hospital wards. 1 rest centre.
850 hospital clinic and 1 [???] post.
creche rooms. 3 fire stations.
1C vehicles. 1 police station.
1 hut 1 military building.

Disinfecting of bedding and other upholstered goods is carried out
for trader . who deliver to and collect articles from the station.
For this service a charge is made.
During 1941, 8373 such articles were disinfected, the receipts
for this work amounting to £84. 7.od.
Disinfestation.
In addition to the [???] has been carried out
for various services such as report [???] services, engineers'
centres, fire services etc., as follows:-

Bedding is treated by steam disinfection and delivered in a second
van to the house.
A number of notifications wore received from contractors who have
boon employed by the Estates Dept. etc., to carry out cyanide
disinfestation of houses. while the process being carried out the
premises were kept t under observation by the inspector. At the conclusion
a certificate was issued by the firm stating that the premises were free
from cyanide gas.
Disinfestation of houses (other than of
contents) for Bed Bugs etc.
Houses are disinfected by moans of sulphur and spraying with
various typos of vermicides.

Cleansing of Verminous Persons Etc.
During the year 19 adults and 90 children were cleansed for
verminous conditions and 230 adults and 450 children for scabies.
