The above table gives a summary of the housing conditions found in
notified oases. It is seen that 57.6% of the Pulmonary cases and 53.9% of the
Non-Pulmonary cases were occupying a separate bedroom. In 31.5% of the Pulmonary
and 25.8% of the Non-Pulmonary the sleeping arrangements were not satisfactory.
Forty-two families had been rehoused in Council houses under the scheme
begun in 1935 by the end of 1939.
