IMMUNISATION AT RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS AND
HOMES.
The Routine treatment started in October, 1936, of giving
two doses A.P.T. 0.1 c.c. followed by 0.5 c.c. has been continued
with the slight modification, as the result of further experience,
of allowing an interval of two weeks instead of one week
between the two doses of A.P.T. This method seems very satisfactory
and has the advantage of necessitating one dose less than
T.A.M., with consequent saving of time and expense.
No reactions were reported.
The table on page 72 gives a detailed analysis of immunization
done at the various schools and homes. It is almost inevitable,
when dealing with large numbers of children in Residential
Schools and Homes, to find that some are removed out of the
Borough before treatment is completed. These changes of
address have been noted and the Medical Officer of Health of the
district concerned has been informed.

During the autumn most of the children undergoing treatment at the Public Assistance Committee's Queen's Road Homes were transferred to the Public Assistance Committee's London Road Homes, where treatment was continued and recorded in the table below, under the latter Home:—
