ANNUAL REPORT
of the
SCHOOL MEDICAL OFFICER
For the Year ending December 31st, 1937.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present to you my Tenth Annual Report
on the work carried out by the School Medical Service.
The form of the report follows that adopted previously, and
includes the requirements as set out in Form 6M (Schedule) of the
Board of Education.
In the Board of Education's Tables for 1933 a new group of
cases was incorporated in Table IV. in respect of the treatment of
orthopaedic and postural defects, and this has been included again
this year.
The complete Sanitary Survey of the Schools, which was
originally included in my report for 1936 has again been revised.
This table shows interesting differences as between the schools.
The survey, however, embraced all aspects of school hygiene,
including lighting, ventilation, size of class-rooms, etc. For the
sake of brevity much of this has had to be omitted from this report.
