Doctors' Accounts Under Section 14 (1) of the Midwives Act, 1918.
284 accounts were received from doctors for services rendered
under the provisions of this section. This compares with 268 in
1936; 243 in 1935; 172 in 1934; 140 in 1933; and 153 in 1932.
The total amount of the accounts was £372 13s. 0d. £93 16s. 6
was ultimately recovered from the patients. In 1936 the amount
paid to doctors was £406 1s. 0d., and in 1935, £329 14s. 6d.
