At the beginning of 1937 there were 90 patients in Cheam.
During the year 163 were admitted and 140 discharged, whilst 18
died, thus leaving 95 patients in at the beginning of 1938.
There were 10 observation cases sent in: 8 males and 2 females.
0f the 8 males 5 were not tubercular, and of the 2 females neither
was tubercular; therefore, there were 7 observation cases in nontuberculars
which are shown above. The 3 that were tubercular
are in with the tubercular cases and are not shown as observation.
Artificial Pneumothorax cases discharged but still under treatment,
7 males, 9 females (see above), making total discharges:
males 92, females 66.
These 16 Artificial Pneumothorax cases only refer to cases
discharged in 1937 ; those discharged in 1936 and still having refills
have not been included.
