The number of forms issued from the Ante-Natal and PostNatal
and various Infant Welfare Centres totalled 394, which is
considerably fewer than in 1935. The reason for this is that the
medical officers, realising the large number of patients awaiting
treatment, have adopted the practice of referring only the more
urgent cases.
The cost of treatment (excepting the provision of prosthetic
appliances) is 8d. per attendance, and 2s. Od. when a general anaesthetic
is administered. The amount received for attendance fees
was .£52 14s. 8d. as compared with £50 2s. 4d. in 1935.
