The type of Diphtheria which occurred in 1935 was, as a whole,
less severe than in 1934, but as in that year there was an increase
in virulence towards the end of the year.
The death rate was 3.9 per cent., as compared with 5.2 per
cent. in 1934.
The average stay in hospital of Diphtheria cases was 38.2 days.
