Report for the year ended 31st December, 192b:— 1.—Milk and Cream not soid as Preserved.

In one instance Boric Acid to the extent of 0.1 per cent. was found in
cream not sold as preserved cream. A satisfactory explanation was
furnished, and no further action taken.
2.—Cream sold as Preserved Cream.
(a) Instances in which samples have been submitted for
analysis to ascertain if the statements on the label as to
preservation were correct:—
(i) Correct statements made 3
(ii) Statements incorrect Nil.

(b) Determinations made of milk fat in cream sold as preserved
cream:—
(i) Above 35 per cent. 3
(ii) Below 35 per cent. Nil.

(c) Instances where (apart from analysis) the
ments as to labelling or declaration of preserved
cream in Art. v. (1) and the proviso in Art. v. (2)
of the Regulations have not been observed Nil.
