6 samples were obtained from 3 firms and subjected for analysis,
the results of which are as follows:—
No. 1 contained 28.8 parts of Chlorine per 100,000.

SMOKE OBSERVATIONS.
During the year 11 observations were made of factory chimneys
for the purpose of detecting offences under the Act.
In two instances cautions were sent.
