DISINFECTION.
During the year 1,706 rooms, 27 hospital wards and contents
thereof, 26 school class rooms, 3 dormitories, 1 stable, 2 playhouses,
48 departments of schools, 1 shed, 6 vehicles, aud 14,682 articles were
disinfected.
The articles disinfected were as follows, viz.:—694 beds, 1968
blankets, 62 blouses, 720 bolsters, 855 books (including 605 Library
books), 56 boots, 36 bottles, 5 capes, 34 caps, 30 carpets, 269 coats,
36 corsets, 57 curtains, 82 cushions, 6 cloaks, 59 costumes, 953
counterpanes, 21 dresses, 152 dressing gowns, 166 handkerchiefs, 806
mattresses, 5 neckerchiefs, 286 palliasses, 67 petticoats, 2,145 pillows,
164 rugs, 202 shawls, 870 sheets, 187 shirts, 116 skirts, 444 stockings
(socks), 254 towels, 153 trousers, 97 vests, 87 waistcoats, 6 jackets,
31 mats, 46 underclothing, and 2,455 other articles. Total 14,682.
