Two houses were represented in 1914 to the Council as beingunfit
for human habitation and Closing Orders were made. One
house was demolished and the case of the other was still in hand
at the end of the year.

FACTORY AND WORKSHOP ACT.
Section 132 of the Factory and Workshop Act, 1901, provides

"The Medical Officer of Health of every District Council
shall, in his Annual Report to them, report specifically on
the administration of this Act in workhops and workplaces,
and he shall send a copy of his Annual Report, or
so much of it as deals with this subject, to the Secretary
of State."
