lectures or talks to mothers have also been very generally given
by members of the staff during the past nine years, and as many as
359 addresses have been given during that period.
It will be seen from a previous table that there has been a steady
and satisfactory decline in infantile mortality during the last ten years.
CUSTOMS AND INLAND REVENUE ACTS.
No application under Section 26, 53 and 54 Vict., c. 8, was
received during the year.
DISINFECTION.
During the year 1,234 rooms and contents thereof and 12,213
articles were disinfected.
The articles disinfected were as follows 872 Beds; 703 Mattresses;
2.158 Blankets: 534 Sheets; 2,044 Billows; 912 Bolsters;
178 Palliasses; 381 Cushirns: 108 Carpets: 407 Books; 3,916 Other
Articles. Total, 12,213.
