Notification of Infectious Disease has been compulsory in the District since 1890. The Workhouse Infirmary at Croydon, is used for the isolation of pauper patients only. Every Institution,
except) the last, possesses isolation accommodation of its own. Diarrhoea was a notifiable disease during September.
