HEALTH EDUCATION.
The Council, in conjunction with the Boroughs of
Bexley and Erith, organised a public lecture which was
given by the Medical Officer of Health on "Population,"
at the Town Hall, Crayford.
The subject, which proved popular, brought forth
a very interesting discussion.
PREVALENCE OF AND CONTROL OVER
INFECTIOUS DISEASE AND OTHER DISEASES.
Scarlet Fever.
During the year 35 cases were notified. Of these
9 cases were isolated in hospital. The number of cases
notified in 1949 was 23.
Diphtheria.
There were no cases notified in 1950. Only 2
cases of Diphtheria have occurred in the area since 1942.
Enteric or Typhoid Fever.
One case notified during the year.
Puerperal Pyrexia.
Three cases were notified during the year, an increase
of 1 over the previous year's figure. All the cases
were from the Russell Stoneham Hospital. Two cases
were removed to Bow Arrow Hospital.
Meningococcal Infection.
One case notified during the year.
Food Poisoning.
No cases were notified during the year. 5 cases
were notified in 1949.
