The year 1935 was also noteworthy for the increased demand on the
Department made by the Housing Survey, and the additional shops
inspections with regard to sanitary conditions, etc., which were required
under the Shops Act, 1934. The Sanitary Inspector is to be congratulated
on a very good year's work in spite of difficulties in that section of his
duties which lies outside the scope of this Report.
