greatly improved and appreciated by the caravan dwellers.
The remaining sites are very small and generally are occupied
by persons engaged in agriculture or living in caravans principally
with a view to acting as caretakers.
During the year, the first camping site licence under the Public
Health Act, 1936, to be issued in the district was granted to the
Sun Club at Hockenden. Here again, conditions were attached to
the licence, including the provision of water closets on the site,
which will ensure that hygiene is maintained. The licence is valid
only for the summer period of each year.
COMMON LODGING HOUSES
There are no registered Common Lodging Houses in the area.
