In conjunction with the general practitioners concerned, the
department arranged for the examination of specimens to ensure
that patients, particularly school children and food handlers are free
from infection after treatment.
Food Poisoning.
The figure of notified and confirmed cases at 7 (of which 2
were treated in hospital) is low compared with any recent year.
27 cases were notified in 1959. Seven other suspected cases were
investigated but could not be confirmed.
