The new building to be erected in place of Queen Mary's
Hospital will incorporate a mortuary and it was decided, in principle,
that the work carried out at Beaverwood Road would be transferred
there in due course.
During the year, 182 bodies were dealt with as compared with
138 in 1959. 72 of these came from hospitals, and in 24 cases
inquests were held.
HOSPITAL SERVICES.
The following hospitals are within the area of the Sidcup
Hospital Management Committee of the South-East London
Region, and I am indebted to the Secretary of the Committee for
the information given below.
Cray Valley Hospital.
Provides a general hospital service with the following beds:—
Maternity 10
Medical 10
Surgical 10
"Section 4" 1
"Section 5" 1
Unclassified 3
Sidcup Cottage Hospital.
A general practitioner hospital with:—
Medical 11
"Section 4" 1
"Section 5" 1
A Physical Medicine clinic is held once each week.

Queen Mary's Hospital.
