NURSING HOMES.

Details of the five Nursing Homes on the Register at 31st December, 1959, are as under:—

The Homes were inspected at frequent intervals during the
year, but at no time were any contraventions found which called
for action on the part of the local authority. The majority of the
beds continue to be occupied mainly by aged sick or aged infirm
patients.
PUBLIC CONVENIENCES.
The Public Health Department is responsible for the
maintenance and supervision of all Public Conveniences in the area.
Its staff cleanse the undermentioned toilets:—

A staff of two full-time and one part-time cleaners was
employed at the 31st December, 1959. In addition there was one
full-time employee who divided her time between cleaning and
attending, four part-time attendants and two relief workers.
