PIGGERIES.
There are twelve piggeries in the district. This indicates a
decrease of three on the year, and is part of a trend against pig
keeping on a small scale, noticeable since shortly after the war.
Approximately 1,850 pigs are kept, one large piggery accounting
for 1,000 animals and another for 450. 80 visits were paid to these
piggeries.
