PETROLEUM (REGULATION) ACTS, 1928 AND 1936.
Mr. J. C. Kermode is the Inspector appointed under these Acts.
The storage facilities for petroleum spirit continues to expand
due to additional tanks being installed at existing filling stations.
Safety regulations are strictly enforced at the 56 premises which
were licensed during the year.
There are three riding stables in the district from which horses
and ponies are hired out. The animals (consisting of 30 horses,
1 foal and 27 ponies) together with the premises, have been
inspected by a veterinary surgeon, appointed by the Council, on two
occasions during the year and found to be satisfactory.
Certain improvements were effected to the stables.
Two Licences were issued to dealers in Game in respect of
the year.
The total storage capacity is as follows:—
Petroleum Spirit in tanks | 120,035 gallons. |
in cans | 100 gallons. |
Petroleum Mixtures in approved stores | 7,615 gallons. |
Calcium Carbide | 100 pounds. |
