Three hundred and seventy-one visits were made to cafes,
restaurants and canteens in the district, and 1,703 to other food
preparing premises. There are approximately 168 premises in
the area issued with a catering licence by the Ministry of Food,
and these include 74 restaurants, cafes, public houses, fish friers,
etc., 1 hotel, 28 staff canteens, 16 clubs, 27 day schools and
nurseries, and 22 institutions (including hostels, residential
schools and colleges, hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, etc.).
