URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL OF
CHISLEHURST & SIDCUP
The Urban District Council of Chislehurst and Sidcup was
constituted under the Kent County Review Order, 1934, and
came into existence on the 1st April, 1934.
VITAL STATISTICS.
Births.—During the year 1,152 Births were registered as
belonging to the District, of which number 591 were males
and 561 were females. The number of Births registered as
being illegitimate was 60.
The Birth Rate for the year was equal to 20.0 per thousand
of population, as compared with 17.8 last year.
Deaths.—The number of Deaths registered as belonging to
the District was 617 (336 males and 281 females). This is
equal to a Death Rate of 10.7 per thousand of population as
against 10.0 last year.
Infant Deaths.—During the year 30 Deaths were registered
as occurring in Infants under one year of age (28 in
legitimate and 2 in illegitimate infants). The Infantile
Mortality Rate was 26 per thousand registered Births, as
against 38 last year.
