Dairies, Cowsheds and Milkshops. Six premises have been
cleansed.
During the year two licences were granted under the Milk
(Special Designation) Regulations.
Slaughterhouses. —There were four Slaughterhouses in
occupation during the year, two being registered and two licensed.
374 visits of inspection have been paid, and any matters
needing attention have been dealt with.
On one occasion only was a defect found.

Public Health (Meat) Regulations, 1924.—These Regulations
came into force on the 1st April, 1925.
The work involved by the provisions of this Order has been
most efficiently carried out by Mr. Powell and Mr. Capon.

During the period from the 1st April to the 31st December, 1925, the following number of animals were killed for human food in the slaughter-houses in the District.

In all approximately 8 cwt. 16 lbs. of meat was found to be
unfit for human food.
Bakehouses. —Visits are paid to all Bakehouses within the
District, and during the year 33 inspections have been made.
The number of Bakehouses in the District is seven.
