During the year one new Milkseller was registered in the place
of one who had given up the business.
Respecting the Cowkeeper's business mentioned in last year's
report as being given up, application was made for these premises
to be again registered. The premises were inspected by the Medical
Officer of Health and myself, and it was found necessary that the
cesspool drainage should be abolished and new drains constructed
and properly connected to the sewer, and other defects made good.
These works are now well in hand, and the registration will in
due course be granted when the premises are satisfactory.
One Licensed Slaughter-house is still vacant.
Factories and Workshops. One hundred and fifteen visits have
been made to the Workshops.
Four cases of dirty rooms, two cases of dirty W.C. pans and
one case of defective paving were dealt with.

the past year, and one workshop has been converted into a factory.

One house at Foots Cray used as a Laundry was inspected by
the Medical Officer of Health and found in bad condition, and the
occupier left the premises and the same were therefore not registered
.
The sanitary conveniences at the Factories have been regularly
inspected, and only in one case was it found necessary to deal with
the cleanliness of the water-closets and urinal.
