out the District, and I am destroying the rats in the Dust Shoots
and other property in the occupation of the Council.
Housing (Inspection of District) Regulations. I hope shortly
to commence the Inspection of the District in accordance with the
resolution of the Council passed 011 the 5th of December, 1910.
I beg to take the opportunity of stating that to carry out the
duties prescribed by the Housing and Town Planning Act and
these Regulations and my many other duties, the time has arrived
when the Council should provide me with regular clerical assistance.
The Clerk of the Council has always allowed one of the Assistant
Clerks to type reports and letters for me, but it can be readily
understood that such an arrangement cannot be entirely satisfactory
either to the Clerk or to me.
