In return the Board furnishes a weekly summary of the main
contents of the returns for all sanitary Districts in England and
Wales.
An Inquiry was held by the Local Government Board into
an application under the Public Health Act, 1875, for a loan for the
making up of Knoll Road, Sidcup Hill. The application was subsequently
granted.
No legal proceedings were instituted with respect to matters
affecting the public health, with the exception of those already mentioned
under Scarlet Eever.
At the end of the year the health of the District was satisfactory
and the only cases of infectious disease notified during
November and December were four mild cases of Scarlet Fever.
Mr. Powell's report of the work carried out by him during the
year, the statistical tables required by the Local Government
Board, and the Table required by the Secretary of State for recording
action taken under the Factory and Workshop Act, 1901, are
appended.
I have the honour to be, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant.
JAMES SCOTT TEW.
April 8th, 1911.
