Two domiciliary midwives attended a seven-day course on
ante-natal teaching at the Royal College of Midwives, two
attended a course on practical teaching and management, and
two attended Psychoprophylaxis Seminars. Six midwives attended
statutory refresher courses.
Deliveries attended by Midwives
A total of 631 domiciliary confinements were attended by
Midwives, and in 538 of these cases a doctor was not present
at the delivery. The number of institutional deliveries discharged
and attended by Midwives before the 10th day was 1,060.
