Housing, Town Planning, etc., Act, 1909.
A system for carrying out the necessary inspections according
to the Housing (Inspection of District) Regulations, 1910, has been
approved by this Council; the Sanitary Inspector being the officer
designated to make the inspections. Where difficulties arise I also
visit and inspect.
Details are taken on the spot in a note-book with special head
ings, and these are afterwards tranferred to duplicated foolscap
sheets. This record, with any resulting correspondence, copies of
notices, etc., in respect of each house, is placed in a paper folder,
numbered, filed, and card indexed; so that the particulars respecting
any house which has been inspected under the Regulations can be
easily referred to.
Two hundred and eight houses were inspected, as follows:—
