Enteric Feyer. Twenty-four cases were notified as follows :—
In February 4 cases.

They occurred in the various parishes thus:—
Chislehurst 9 cases.
Cudham 1 case.
Downe 1 „
Farnborough 1 „
Foot's Cray 4 cases.
Mottingham 1 case.
Orpington 2 cases.
St. Mary Cray 2 „
St. Paul's Cray 1 case, and
2 cases at the
Workhouse
Total 24 cases.
The fatal cases occurred: one in the parish of Downe, which
had been notified in October of the year 1897, and which succumbed
to the disease on March 11th, 1898, the patient being a girl, aged 15
years.
The remaining two fatal cases were that of a young man, aged
17 years, who had contracted the disease at Malta, and developed it
on his return to his home at Chislehurst, and that of a man, aged
47 years, living at St. Paul's Cray.
The cases and deaths occurred at the following age-periods:—

Erysipelas. Thirty-one cases were reported, one or more in
each month of the year, and two of which ended fatally. The first
fatal case was in January at Chislehurst, and the second in November
at Mottingham.
