Further Training of Teachers
The further training of teachers is an essential factor
in the introduction of new ideas and methods of teaching.
During the year opportunities have been provided for
attendance at the following Courses:—
(i) Physical Education for men and women teachers in
Junior Schools.
(ii) Physical Education with special reference to climbing
apparatus for women teachers in Infant Schools.
(iii) Movement training for teachers in Primary Schools.
(iv) Gymnastics for men teachers in Secondary Schools.
All these Courses attracted encouraging support and
attendances were appreciable throughout.
In conclusion, I wish to express my thanks to the
Borough Education Officer and his staff for their valuable
support, as well as my appreciation of the good work done
by the Head and Assistant Teachers in the schools.
