Eradication of Bed Bugs.
Number of houses found to be infested:—
(a) Corporation houses 11
(b) Other houses 11
Five privately owned houses were fumigated with
Hydrogen Cyanide by private firms. The other infestations
were dealt with by the Department by spraying,
etc., the number of rooms dealt with in this manner
being 45.
Camping Sites.
A camping site used by Rover Scouts and Woodcraft
Folk in Hall Place was not used over such a period as
to come within the operation of Section 269 of the Public
Health Act, 1936.
Schools.
There are 24 County Modern and County Primary
Schools, six non-provided schools and a Day Technical
School for Girls in the Borough, and the sanitary conditions
are satisfactory.
