the various Clinics is intimately associated, and the School Nurse
assists at the Infant Welfare Centre when required, and similarly

The Care of Debilitated Children under School Age.—
Children up to the age of five years attend the Infant Welfare
Centre, and as soon as they attain the age of five they are transferred
to the School Service. The large proportion of the children
commence to attend the Welfare Centre in early infancy, cards
are made out on which a record of their health is kept and any
treatment required or provided. These cards are filed according
to age and after the age of twelve months, when their visits to the
Centre are not so frequent, they are visited in their homes at fixed
intervals every year by the Health Visitor until the age of five is
reached, and thus supervision is maintained until they come under
the care of the School Medical Service.
