2. For Non-Infectious and Accident Cases.—The District
Council maintain a Motor Ambulance for the removal of accident
cases and cases of sudden disability to hospital free of charge.
Other cases pay fees according to a scale. TTiei Ambulance is available
at any time, day or night.

Venereal Diseases.—There is no treatment Centre in the area
for these diseases. Patients usually attend some of the treatment
Centres provided by the London and Home Counties Joint Scheme.
The nearest Centre is at King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill.
NURSING ARRANGEMENTS.
Professional Nursing in the Home.
(a) General.—(1) The Beckenham District Nursing Association
supplies two trained nurses for general district work. These
nurses are available for all who require their services in their
homes. A small fee is paid depending on the circumstances of
the patient.
(2) In addition to the above several of the Churches provide
a District Nurse. The work is limited to the parishioners
of the respective Churches.
