Analysis of Defects together with the results of "following up"
and Treatment.
Malnutrition.—54 children were classified as suffering from
defective nutrition, of whom 17 were referred for treatment and 37
for observation.
Of the 17 requiring treatment, 10 received it at the School Clinic,
5 were treated at home, 1 was sent to hospital, and 1 left the district.
The condition of these at the end of the year is as follows:—3 have
regained normal weight and condition, 9 have definitely improved,
and 4 are still undergoing treatment.
Of the 37 observation cases, 29 are reported as much improved,
7 still attend the Clinic at regular intervals, and 1 has left the
district.
