At this point it may be of intrest to record the number of samples taken by me and submitted to the Analyst since my appointment in 1901, as Inspector under the before-mentioned Acts, which were as follows:-

As a result of proceedings taken in the eases of those samples
found to he adulterated, fines and costs amounting in the aggregate
to £56 2s. Od. were imposed.
Bakehouses.
There are in the district 18 bakehouses. All have been
systematically inspected, and found on the whole to be kept in a
satisfactory condition, and the cleansing required by the regulations
properly carried out.
