Poliomyelitis Vaccination
In 1962 we were permitted to use oral vaccine. This is given to the children
on lumps of sugar or In syrup, and is a welcome change from the usual injection.

The total vaccinations carried out by family doctors and at clinics year were as follows:-

Diphtheria, Whooping Cough and Tetanus Immunisation
During 1962 the immunisation scheme was extended to include protection
