Loss of Infant Life
The infant death rate in 1962 was 4.82 as compared with 7.3 for 1961. This
is the lowest infant death rate yet recorded for Barking.
With this fact in mind, I delved into our archives and found our figures go back
to 1896. They are so interesting I thought you would like to see them in toto:-
