In October 1960 the Milk (Special Designation) Regulations
came into force. The main change in the Borough was the issued
licences to 47 dealers enabling them to sell milk with a special

vending machines situated in Movers Lane and Tanner
Street. No raw milk is sold in the Borough.
During the year 87 samples were taken from roundsmen, shops
and schools and all were found satisfactory.
