VACCINATION AND IMMUNISATION
Smallpox Vaccination
During the year primary vaccination was carried out for 87
children under the age of one year and for 58 children aged between
one and two years.
Less than 10% of the babies under the age of one year were
vaccinated.
Poliomyelitis Vaccination
Early in 1960 the Ministry of Health extended the Poliomyelitis
Vaccination Scheme to include all persons under 40 years of age
The total vaccinations carried out by family doctors and at clinics during the year was as follows:-
