SECTION C.
SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE AREA.
(1) RAINFALL.
The rainfall for the year ended 31st December,
1943, was 19.50 inches, as compared with 21.64 f°r
the previous year.
Rain fell on 140 days in the year 1943.
(2) WATER SUPPLY.
There was no extension of mains during the
year 1943.
Samples are drawn from the domestic supplies
and submitted every quarter for chemical examination,
and monthly for bacteriological examination. All
samples were reported pure and wholesome and
suitable for drinking and domestic purposes.
(3) DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE.
Drainage arrangements continue as heretofore.
